1013 Miles in, first oil change completed

I did the same at 1,203 miles. I plan on changing the oil and filter every 4k in the future . Why? because the motor uses a turbo.

Did my first change at 3K. Now I’m doing it every 5k.

I just did my first change at 468 miles. A bit of fine glittering particles suspended in the oil. Smell of gasoline when the oil came out. It's winter, so I'm not really surprised. I do 90% highway driving, but about 5 stop starts just before the oil change around the corner at the dealer getting an inspection.

I did my first one at 1100 miles. Plan on doing the next one at 5k, and then every 5k after that.

Here’s my oil after only 538 miles. Smelled very gassy, and I cut open the filter too…some non metallic metal particles in the pleats. Glad I changed it out. Eventually I’d like to run a 30wt oil in this engine…only thing that cautions me is it’s a hybrid, so lots of start/stops. But it shouldn’t matter. Maybe a 0w30 would be ok. Within a few thousand miles it would be sheared down to a 0w20 anyways idk
