Sticker shock at oem price for a fold away bed step.Any recommendations for aftermarket versions?
I am curious as well, Amazon has a bunch under $100, wondering how the quality is? The OEM one outrageously priced ToyotašŸ˜”

I just checked the dealer's online store front I used to get a couple parts for my truck, since they have a nice discount, but it's still pretty expensive. This price doesn't include shipping, but shipping has been pretty reasonable.

  • MSRP:$385.00
  • Discount:$88.27 (22.9% off)
  • Sale Price:$296.73

I have the factory bed step and it is EXTREMELY well made. It was an absolute pain in the @#$ for the dealer to install. While expensive, it's well worth the cost - or at least it was for me. Plus, the automatic handsfree storage under the bumper works well and keeps everything tucked out of the way until it's needed.

Concur on the cost. It depends on where you live also. For a Tundra perhaps, Tacoma, for me, not needed. Plus, it'll rust solid within three Maine winters.šŸ˜

I agree also. Very expensive-particularly up here in Canada ($500 CDN) I have a bad back and knees that are not too good so I needed the step, even on my Tacoma. I went for OEM because I know that way itā€™s guaranteed. Iā€™ve heard that some of the aftermarket ones that are available are a little bit suspect. There is a certain quality to the OEM step that I like.

I found a used one on eBay for my 2016. I have never used it since my truck has a topper.
