On a side note, anyone ever pull the dealers leg and get a free set of tires out of it? I'm really going to pester them about getting a free set of KO2s installed to seal the deal. Hell, I'll go as far as walking out and seeing if I get a text to return :ROFLMAO:
You won’t lol

In top spec trim, you are probably right. I would be happy with just the mid-spec upgrade package. I'm still hoping a TRD hybrid Off Road with the upgrade package comes in around 55k.

I was lucky to get a reservation on a mid spec TRD OR, Bronze oxide, heated seats, bigger screen and small add ons at $46k…
I would love to add 33’s but may need a lift to accommodate that.. wheels will be swapped out as well. I think 33s would improve the look, stance and clearance a bit

When I bought my Tundra, I walked out with the same thought and he called me back two days later and said they had sold 6 of the 9 they received that week and the model I wanted was still available. Nice guy and not an arsehole, but he directly said "if you don't buy it today, someone will buy it tomorrow" and I think that would be the same with the Tacomas. I feel like a hostage, but I don't want to wait as I need the value of my CR-V private sale as a deposit and can't afford to wait to get less... nor do I want to! :)

I find that with the market the way it is today if you don't want to pay the price the dealers know the next guy will. I know when I made the deal on my 24 Tacoma I asked to have the block heater thrown in (my sales girl said sure let me see what I can do)
I watched her talk to the sales manager he shook his head. When she came back she said that they were not negotiating as they were only getting 160 trucks (they sold 260 2023 Tacoma's) and they know they will sell more than they can get.

I think the bezel is where they want you to stick pictures of your loved ones and reminder notes

Haha yeah I kinda get the same vibe with these models. If it was a year after release I'd probably have a fighting chance but I feel it's going to be a take it or leave it for the next situation lol

Good luck.. with dealer markups.. and thousands of people waiting for whatever hits the lot to buy… I purchased mine there was zero haggling… told me just call the next one on list ! Lol

Yeaaaaah I had a change of tone 🤣 I'm still going to haggle them on dealer installed add-ons but I'm not letting this one slip through my fingers

Perfect. Thanks for the answer.
Apparently it's because they had to increase the size of the brakes for the extra weight of the hybrid system, so they increased the wheel size for cooling/protection? I think it will look better, but I understand why some true OR folks won't like it.

You can always switch out the BFGs for some good 33inch tires if you want to. They're supposed to fit

33s will fit on stock suspension no problem.
