I feel like there were a few guys complaining about lack of a trailer brake controller. Hell I never even looked for it as I don't plan on towing anything with this truck, but I found it. For guys saying that there wasn't a trailer brake controller, my 25 Pro has one? Do other trucks not have this?

It’s in an option package for the lower trims

To compare, go to the F150 site, the Maverick site, the Silverado site... save amount of hate just a different set of problems. With any product like something as complicated as a truck, you will not please everyone nor have a trouble free product every time. Overall I am happy with my white Taco

With respects to performance:
I love my TRD Pro however the Ranger Raptor felt snappier/peppier and handled better IMHO..

My outgoing Gen 2 TRD Sport MT6 felt lighter and faster however that was after the TRD CAI, exhaust and the included ECU remap - likely much of that was just the new throttle map and not necessarily torque/hp (and it was absolutely lighter than this TRD Pro). EDIT: The gen 2 didn't have multiple driving modes so it was only ever in the TRD remap and averaged 19mpg highway:(

First kick at the throttle in the TRD Pro I bought the BS ShiftPower however I haven't found a setting that isn't too "twitchy" so it is now being used for immobilizer and valet functions only. I think a remap of my Sport mode would do the trick - likely to something not so emissions compliant:p

I agree - the Raptor handles very well and is a lot of fun. It is also a screaming deal compared to the Pro.

The Raptor's downsides for me are its looks, which are kind of generic and I don't have a lot of faith in the reliability of Fords. Everytime my truck buds get together for some beers the Ford owners spend mega time comparing what has broken on their trucks and how much it cost to fix them.

So for me, the Pro won on looks and Toyota reliability, even considering that this is a brand new model.

@TacoFreak , james …its still a ford LOL 2-3 years down the road , look at that truck then hop in your pro , and wipe the smile of your face, the trend of buying instant gratifacation on the truck market will wear out , then those of us loyal toyota guys will smile …..

Agreed - It wasn't even close for me.. There's a heck of a lot more truck and value to the TRD Pro IMO - up here in Canada they're the same price (both low 80s)... and there was a *lot* I didn't like about the Raptor. Regardless, I'll be on the lookout for a snappier throttle re-map -- I'm not expecting anything that's warranty approved so probably this is 3 years out anyhow.

It was for me too. My Pro is the best truck I have ever owned, equally at home on the Interstate or a trail, while looking awesome.

Zero regrets here and the haters can go right ahead and hate. :)

Beautiful truck and the OR has nothing to be ashamed of, it is a great truck. It is the basis for the Pro and TH and lets you take it to whatever level you want.
