Here are pictures of the various camera views from the 2024 Tacoma TRD Off Road with Premium package. I tried to take a picture of all of the different angles and views. Keep in mind that some of the camera views have up to three different angles. You can see what was selected in each picture.

Any idea on what would happen to those camera angles if you had a canopy covering the bed of the truck? I’m thinking the camera view of the bed of the truck would not be available anymore but what would happen to the overhead truck view?

I love the camera views! Especially the 360 view when backing up or pulling into my garage!

The 360 views are stitched together using the front/rear bumper cameras and the side view mirror cameras. So no change with a cap or rack. You'll lose the view from digital rearview mirror and truck bed cameras though.

Thank you! I'm trading in a RAV4 Prime for mine. The Tacomas are not around to check out myself, so I'm curious. My RAV4 has essentially the PVM that would be in the Sport. I like that it comes up automatically when you go below 10mph. Does that happen in the Tacoma? and do you get to pick and set what views come up automatically?

I didnt think about how the digital rear view will work with like a bed rack...

I find it hard to believe they are showing off the trailhunter with both the side and top rack but wont be able to use the digital rear view?

I guess if the bed rack were above the area where the camera is, It could still be usable, but the camera is where high break light is on the truck. So anything there will block that and the bed cam. I know @Independence Overland is looking at a way to relocate a camera on the back of his buildout to use that camera. Apparently, that works on the tundra. You possibly could use the remote trailer camera too, but all of this is speculation at this point.

I actually didn’t even think about the fact that you can buy this truck with a tent mounted. That makes me wonder if Toyota didn’t intentionally make it easy to do.

I am quite confident the Tundra kit will be identical, as they would certainly use the same camera/plug.

I will try to cover that camera.

It does come every time you go below 12mph if I remember the exact speed. I’m not sure if you can select the angle for that, I’m guessing you can’t.

As someone who has only personally owned small sports cars their whole life (although driven large vehicles various times throughout my life) I am excited for a feature like this to make me feel more confident parking and navigating in tight places. Is it doable without this tech? Sure. Does it boost my confidence though? Oh yeah! Stoked!

Can you? I thought you could just buy the racks.
