As the title suggests. Can I cut the following piece from the factory speaker to use as a harness for the new speaker?

Also. I'm assuming because I'm new I can't post a pic. I'll post it in the comments.

I still can't post a pic. Can I cut the factory plug/resistor/wires from the original speaker and use them on the new?

Thanks. I've been looking at that but living on an island on the east coast of Canada slows things quite a bit.

I'd imagine if you know what the wires do/go to yea, you can reuse them. However, I'd be worried more about if the power/impedance matches what I'm replacing the factory speakers with.

I'm talking about cutting the connection out of the old speaker. Connect the two speaker wires from that to my new speaker and plug it back in.

Make your own pig tail to connect into the factory connector? That way no cutting and easily reversible (no splicing; although splicing isn't difficult).
