Moved lots in our beautiful campsite at the first of the season this weekend,

It was a hell of a struggle to get the jacks up and break the tires free of the iced up mess, lots of 4H and clutch slip lol.

Finally got her though and boy does she sag lol, although I'm sure with the proper weight distribution hitch she'd perk up a little, didn't bother as I was only moving her to the next loop.

She pulled her extremely easy, hardly any work with the clutch to get going. Braking (at low speeds) was still great too. I have the trailer brake controller but to my surprise the brakes on the actual trailer is little to none lol.

Even backing the camper in, I didn't have to give the truck any gas, just work the clutch, still lots of torque to push her back which I was really surprised with.

Camper weighs 4200lbs empty, and it's far from empty

Makes me very tempted to buy a smaller camper so I can pull her all around my beautiful province and neighboring.

Anyone else pull the camper, (much further than me preferred), interested to see just how narly that gas milage gets lol.

But my gal only weighs 1500 pounds. This truck pulls much better than the previous generation. I've tried Tow/Haul mode once and found it has too much zip, if that makes any sense.

Amazing photos! And beautiful camper, I think something like that lies in my future. Notice any big MPG differences?

I get about 18 MPG, pulling it, but I drive like an old man. It's a DIY. My fourth teardrop build.

Not a camp trailer, but I pulled a 16' ATV type trailer with a 5' solid loading ramp (acted like a sail). I went from 18 mpg (studded winter tires) without the trailer, to 12 mpg on the two lanes and 10 mpg on the freeways.

I have used my 2024 Limited to tow our 3900lb RV last summer about ten times from Virginia Beach up into the mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I forgot it was even back there on several occasions; not in the mountains of course. I still have the 3rd Gen Tacoma I used for years to do the same. This 4cyl turbo out performs the 3rd gen 6cyl on every level. I have towed over 5500 lbs with it. Go for it.

I towed a 5k pound total weight mini excavator on a trailer last week and was totally impressed. I thought the Gen 4 handled it much better than my 2021 Sport did with similar loads. I was particularly impressed with the hitch ball view for lining things up and that the trailer was automatically picked up and appeared on my cluster controls showing a 21 foot trailer. Not sure how it impacted MPG since it was only a 40 mile round trip from the rental center.

Reversing to the hitch was extremely easy I must say, no back and forth back and forth, adjusting or spotters lol Just line up back up and drop down.
