2024 Tacoma Trailhunter vibrates at 75 mph.

Brought it to my local service center and they refused to replicate the issue. Was advised they will not drive it 75 mph.

Called Toyota Brand Central. They opened a case and got back to me weeks later with the same response from service center. They advised me to call Toyota Corp.

Opened a new case with Toyota Corp. Returned to me 2 weeks later with same response. Their position is there is nothing they can do.

Called a Lemon Law attorney, and they basically took the same stance.

If you plan on driving a vehicle over the local speed limit, it appears, it's your problem. A lot to consider when buying a 70k vehicle. 🤷

I'm sure there's the oddball case around, but almost every thread I've seen about the vibrations/shudders with the new Tacomas has either been the tires/wheels or the roof rack. I'd start there.

I have an OR that I regularly drive 90+ with no issues.

Definitely not the roof rack and tires were rebalanced. Hands were the thrown in the air, while they maintained it was not their problem since they won't drive it 75 mph.

See if you can find a different set of wheels and tires to try out. You may be able to rule in or out the wheels/tires pretty simply.

Maybe you have a tire balance issue. Take it to a tire store and have them check.

They did that in the first visit, then quit since they refuse to reproduce the conditions.

When it comes to tires, I personally would trust someplace like Discount tire, before I would trust the dealership. Let them know the issues you are facing and ask if they can take a hard look at the balance and round of the tires/wheels.

Same issue with my TH. Vibration at hwy speeds on stock tires. Dealer rebalanced twice, did not fix issue. They told me to kick rocks. Think I had at least one defective tire. With low production trucks using a specific tire, I wouldn’t rule out a higher number of defective units. My next step was to let a shop perform a road force/ force match balance.. but ended up getting 35s that vibrate all over the place.

Man that's hard to believe in FL, attorneys want to sue for everything here. Seems like they'd rather open you up a lawsuit when you go on a road trip and your truck falls apart at 75-80mph where its legal and someone gets killed.

Yep, spot on. It was remarkable to see everyone walk away from the issue using the speed limit as an excuse. Lesson learned in regards to Toyota.

I love so many things about this truck, it is a real shame. Going to try new tires at some point, not much else I can do.

Texas highways have 75pmh speed limit - even a bit of 80mph and 85mph limits as well --- maybe take a trip and find a dealership/mechanic there that will reproduce??

Not a bad idea, but not very practical for my current situation. One would think Toyota would do something to make it right. They have the resources, but lack the desire.

I would try rotating the tires if you haven't just to see if it changes, I know you said they were re balanced.

Have you tried to see if they will ride along with you since they wont drive it? Seems like a easy win since Toyota has to sell a vehicle that's suppose to be safe in all 50 states

hopefully its just a bad set of tires

I did offer to drive, and to be blunt and honest, where I live in S. Florida, if your doing 75 on I95, your probably in the right lane.

What kind of tires are on the TH models. Just curious. PreRunners came with 265/70r17 BFG Trail-Terrain T/A. Sadly the OEMs are made for Toyota and not the 3PMSF tires.
