Some here like the no frills, utilitarian nature of the SR5. To come on here and tell people not to get one because it doesn’t suit your needs is a bit in bad taste. Ultimately, you should have researched the trim levels prior to buying.Don’t make the mistake that I did. I got the SR5 and didn’t even look at the tre sport or off-road and now I am realizing they are COMPLETE different trucks ! The SR5 has no usable features. It looks completely different from the inside ( like a rental ) and I hate that they didn’t mention this at the dealership.. This is my first Tacoma so I thought the higher trim level just came with better suspension.. definitely not the case .. DO NOT GET AN SR5 Tacoma !
I have the same package, and I love it. I didn't need all the extra frills. Just something to get me to and from work and haul my tools occasionallyMy SR5 with upgrade+cold weather is optioned better than a base TRD sport, that’s why I chose it.
Yeah, it's like a blank canvas. I personally love it. I'll build this SR5 into my own version of the TRD PRO eventually hahaMan, Sorry you aren't happy with your SR5 but telling people to not buy it is a bit extreme. I got a new SR5 as my first tacoma, the higher end trims were out of my budget but I really like this truck. It is fun as hell to drive and I can build it up however I want.
You didn’t do your research. I love my SR5. It has heated seats, front and rear sonar sensors, JBL, integrated trailer brake, power sliding rear window, all not on a base sport or off road.Don’t make the mistake that I did.
