Don’t get the 2024 SR5 !

Sorry that happened to you, but good god man do your research before you purchase a $40,000 vehicle lol. Can't expect the sales guys to do it for you, they're only there for a sale, and most hardly know anything about the vehicles they're selling.
The SR5 is no different than any other lower trimmed vehicle. Stock as stock could possibly be. Make hay where the sun shines, now you got a blank template to build a truck you want.

That sucks. I assume you bought this sight unseen maybe before an SR5 was on the lot to lay eyes on. At least I hope that is the case or well the decision is your fault.
I have also bought a couple cars sight unseen. To include the Tacoma. It was one of the early ones. No local dealers had one and the dealer I bought mine from was 2 hrs away. They met me after the purchase in the middle to swap keys so I did buy it sight unseen. Usually videos and pics will do an ok Job and they did help me make my decision but it is always not the case exactly. With the Sport I was pleasantly surprised. The biggest surprise was the seat comfort. I thought the seats would be more like the wife’s 24 Camry and they are way better so that was nice. I was expecting worse.

Some here like the no frills, utilitarian nature of the SR5. To come on here and tell people not to get one because it doesn’t suit your needs is a bit in bad taste. Ultimately, you should have researched the trim levels prior to buying.
My SR5 with upgrade+cold weather is optioned better than a base TRD sport, that’s why I chose it.

I have the same package, and I love it. I didn't need all the extra frills. Just something to get me to and from work and haul my tools occasionally
Man, Sorry you aren't happy with your SR5 but telling people to not buy it is a bit extreme. I got a new SR5 as my first tacoma, the higher end trims were out of my budget but I really like this truck. It is fun as hell to drive and I can build it up however I want.

Yeah, it's like a blank canvas. I personally love it. I'll build this SR5 into my own version of the TRD PRO eventually haha

You didn’t do your research. I love my SR5. It has heated seats, front and rear sonar sensors, JBL, integrated trailer brake, power sliding rear window, all not on a base sport or off road.

The SR5 Taco is a killer truck. There are more SR5 trim Yotas in the world than any other trim level. Most people would be more than stoked to drive one.
Don't like it? Sell it and get something else.

That was same for the competitors we tried though it was also clear TRD OR long bed fit my needs.
Unlike those other basic models, the SR5 still had the top safety rating, good ergonomics for controls etc......
As to the "rental car" comment...
For the first 40 years of my life, every time I'd get in a rental car, my first thought was always "wow, this is nicer than any car I've ever owned."
You have a new truck. You're doing better than the vast majority of people. Enjoy it.
