Picked up my new Off Road long bed over the weekend. Overall solid and drives well, had about a 14 hour drive, over 1000 miles straight home from the dealer (because I got one at invoice price last day of the month). I love the drive train, the overall feel of the truck.
Anyone else noticing interior plastic gaps, poor fitment, and just overall QC issues? I noticed the front passenger door handles can be kind of twisted and the gaps on the door panels to be pretty decent in size. Front passenger glove box area (under the glove box, between the glove box and passenger front door) to have plastic which is kind of loosely there with maybe one attachment point.
Nothing rattles or shakes or makes any noise on the road or idle but just noticing things aren't very tight at all. This is my first Tacoma but have a '21 4Runner Off Road Premium in the garage in which all the fitment is spot on solid and even comparing this to my parents' '13-14 Highlander this has more gaps and holes. Not expecting it to be a BMW or Benz in terms of fitment but for a 50,000 MRSP truck I really wonder. It's not as bad as a '08-09 Rav4 I had where you closed the doors and felt it was like tin can metal. Anyone else experiencing some of these issues?
