Hi, I've installed the revolver x4s on my 2024 Tacoma, by following exactly the installation instructions. The cover can open and close normally. However, there are still lots of gaps between the product and the bed, specifically:

1. The two corners on the cab end of the bed are not covered well, which left two big holes that water could easily get into. Please see the photos attached. I was following the instruction by positioning the adaptor rail half an inch from the front. Should I move it closer to the front instead?
2. The two adapter rails are not sitting tight against the top of the bed side walls. The passenger side is much worse. Please see photos attached.

Has anyone else installed it on their new Tacoma and had the same issue? I also emailed Bak's tech support. Thanks!

I've got one and had it installed at a local shop that is a "Real Pro Preferred Dealer" - basically an authorized Bak dealer and installer.

anyway- the gaps in mine on the corners by the cab are not quite as large, but I also have the factory sprayed bedliner option so that probably helps. As for the rails, I don't have any issues on mine. They sit tight and flush against the bed caps.

We had almost a week of rain shortly after I had mine installed and it does let some water into the bed along the bulkhead and bed sides, but it's very minimal. Hopefully Bak's support folks can help you out!

Mine is like this as well, the driver side sits about a inch or so further forward than the passenger. Its about time for me to re tighten everything but i was planing on seeing if i could scoot some stuff around to make it more even.

One thing with yours is you have your topper lined up with the spacer bracket(the part with the sticker) and it should be lined up with the outside rail based on my instruction manual.

I also used the thicker molding since I just have the factory bed and not the spray in liner

Thanks for the replies! I scooted the adapter rail forward a little bit so that it touches the front side of the bed (instead of being 1/2 inch away as instructed by the manual). Now the gap at the front becomes much better. However, the gap on top of the tailgate becomes larger. If the adapter rail is 1/2 inch longer, it'd be able to cover the bed nicely. Seems like a design flaw to me.

Also I don't understand why the manual asks us to install the adapter rail 1/2 inch away from the front which would leave a big gap.

I read the manual again. It says the cover should be aligned with the cover rail, which is what I'm doing. I suppose the rail you are referring to is the adapter rail? The adapter rail's front edge is ~1 inch behind the cover rail.

hmm, seems kinda short there. I'd send to Real Truck and see what they say. Few pics of mine I just took for ya. Mine is for 6ft bed and the X4TS version, but otherwise same. My son and I re-aligned length position a couple times to get a "balance" of what looked best for coverage, and we also used the other foamier gasket to help fill in some obvious gaps in the front and the tailgate section, as well trimming the ribbed gasket so the tapered edge up front also had coverage. Some areas need better finishing TBH, but the overall usage/utility I really like. Hope this helps.
BTW my tailgate end is snug up against the rubber seal, close in that it requires a purposeful bang to shut it. Rubber will loosen up after settling in

I have an X4ts, which I assume is very similar. I had an issue with a portion of the bracket hitting the inside of the bed by the cab, which was causing all sorts of gaps and alignment issues. Slightly bending the bracket allowed it to sit better and got rid of the gaps.
