So yeah, I totally registered an account just to complain. Hopefully this is the catalyst to start a long fulfilling relationship but for now I’m a little upset. Right there you can see 867 miles on the odometer and the check engine light. Who else experienced this and what was the outcome?

Can certainly understand why you'd be upset. I don't think many of us here have experienced much in the way of errors or malfunctions like this, perhaps a few of us. Anyhow, if you hit up the google search engine, I'll bet you can find a way, as I just did out of curiosity, to get rid of that error. Or at least reset it. That said, dealer is your best option.

Don't screw around. It's new and under warranty. Get into your dealership and get the issue on record - and fixed. THEN come back and tell us what the issue is; we're curious.

Does it run? How far away are you from the dealership? Maybe they should come get it!

Already scheduled an appointment for Thursday. Unfortunately I'm out of town for work right now and won’t be back until then. Fortunately it runs but the cruise control isn’t an option at the moment. I’ll be sure to report back when I know more.

For giggles, check to see if the "radar" sensor is partially blocked. When mine gets covered with snow/slush the cruise won't work. I get other warning lights on the dash on the TRD OR, not sure what would happen on the SR5 the way Toyota does things.
