Hello everyone,

I have a 2024 toyota tacoma. I just had an car audio shop install an amp and hook it up to the stock speakers. It sounds great and everything until the windows are rolled up and car is running.

There seems to be a low frequency sound/hum coming from the door speakers during certain RPM ranges (1500-1600rpm). This only happens when the windows are rolled up and I am driving. The low frequency sound disappears when the windows are rolled down.

I'm not sure if this is related to a fake engine noise or active noise cancelling system on the truck. I tried talking to dealers but they aren't sure how to turn off the fake engine noise or the ANC. I am looking into getting a carista to turn this off but I'm not even sure if this is the root of the problem. The car audio shops seems to think it is the ANC that is causing this.

Any idea on what is causing this sound and how to fix it?

TLDR: Loud hum from speakers after an aftermarket amp install. This only occurs when under a certain RPM. What is causing this?

A hum in an aftermarket install can be related to a bad ground. How did they ground the amp? Did they scrape all paint off of whatever bolt/metal they used?

Someone else had this problem, and they turned the ANC off. You do it with the Carista app and their OBD connector.
