Hello everyone,

Yesterday I purchased my first Tacoma, and it’s also my first time buying a brand-new vehicle.

I’ve been wanting a mid-sized truck for a few years now. At first, I was considering a Nissan Frontier because of the affordable price and proven reliability. However, after talking with my brother-in-law, who’s a finance manager at my local Toyota dealership, he was able to get me 13% off MSRP. I couldn’t pass up a deal like that, so I went with the Tacoma.

I’m upgrading from a Ford Fiesta, so this is quite the change. My first goal is to get some proper skid plates installed.

Good choice! You'll be happy with everything except the mpg's after a Fiesta. Your brother in law might have some explaining to do after all the Willamette Valley folks come into the dealership wanting 13% off, but you did great!
