New Service Campaign

So I received a service campaign today stating that the dealership will inspect and if necessary replace the electric connection to the active grill shutter and the shutter assembly itself if necessary free of charge I was waiting for this to come out hopefully everything is fine with mine either way I hope they put a new connection in to be on the safe side.

Yes vins are effected but not released by Toyota, they will notify effected owners late November. I have access to Toyotas service info and my truck was built in March and it’s no part of the campaign . 3200 trucks from the span of January to April are effected

Yes it is a service campaign and my truck is the 5600 made I wish they would go ahead replace it that would give me peace of mind.

Mine was built March 15th, my vins not effected.

So update I took the truck in today for the service campaign and sure enough I had water intrusion into the connection and the tech said there is corrosion in the connection. They ordered a new grill shutter assembly and the wiring harness that plugs into it. Should be in next week and it was free of charge. I’m glad Toyota is trying to make things right with the customers
