I was looking at the factory delivered chips on the spoiler above my 3rd brake light and noticed there is a gap around the light, guessing it is sealed internally?

It’s not really apparent, but that entire piece, including the spoiler comes off. That part is sealed I believe there is a gasket around the light as well. I found this out when I relocated my camera to my cap. Even if water got in there, it couldn’t get into your truck.

ya the only part that's truly waterproof on the composite spoiler is the rubber grommet w/butyl & tessa tape that carries the harness loom from 3rd brake & 2 cameras into the cab ceiling. There's an intentional gap around the external camera housing to allow moisture to escape.

I relocated my cameras yesterday and got a good look at all of this. there's a closed cell foam rib that runs the perimeter of the spoiler, should keep nearly all of the water out.
