Yes. It's quieter. Not lot, but why do I want to hear any engine noise?
Oh I'm with you on that, I hate fake noises. I've just heard on the forums that it didn't make much difference.

omething that would allow me to reprogram and do dealer style services to my car!
I don't think you can turn the seat belt chime and engine noise off with it, or am I wrong?

From the linked post it appeared that you could turn off the seat belt chime with it at a minimum, i'll ask on the message though

You can do the seat belt chime. Haven't personally tried the engine noise option

Hell, I take the fake V8 sound from the Charger! I miss that from my Tundra!

AHHHHH Thank you!!!
This is exactly what I was talking about, something that would allow me to reprogram and do dealer style services to my car!
Going to look into Toyota techstream, is there a version of it that is inexpensive and lifetime use or is it literally the dealer service tool with that associated cost
That’s a ton of money. Carista had a special not long ago. I think I paid $30 for a year.

Just this week figured out I'm not getting a free month trial with the carista dongle, I've had it for several months.:curse:
I bought the mentioned "LAUNCH Creader Elite V2.0 fit for Toyota Lexus Bi-Directional Scan Tool" off of Amazon. I've turned off the seatbelt chimes and increased the turn signal to five flashes, so I'm pretty sure it can change all of the options. Incidentally, my OBDII port isn't secured correctly and will push out of the trim panel, requiring me to remove the panel and reinstall the OBDII port twice now. I didn't try to turn off the fake engine sound yet, but I'm pretty sure its an option.

I'm looking for something that I can use long term without a subscription.
I've read about Carista and I'm trying to avoid it if possible, I want something that doesn't hit my credit card monthly
Pay for one month, use the tuner to do what you want, discontinue the subscription, the changes stay. Flip it on facebook marketplace for 10 bucks less than what you paid for it and don't look back.
