I am legit shocked at how "surprised" some of you are at these increases.

A couple grand on a new model gen is not bad at all. Some of you were talking WAY more than a simple $3k increase.
sounds like a toyota rep response.... that they jacked prices 15% and the customers not just jumping up and down screaming take our money. for all the hype around this new gen the prices just arent justifying it here today... sure there are some improvements in spots, but when its just getting in line with the competition and relying on the name brand...this is beyond disappointing... customers will get tired of the price jacking in the truck market at some point here soon. even if its due to "inflation"

The Tundra is about $4000 different between the Hybrid and non-hybrid with the same most expensive Off-road package. So It would seem reasonable that it will be 3-4k different for the same options.

The current highest level package on the Off-road Tacoma is $6000 and $5800 for the Tundra.
So figure 43000 + 1500 Destination + 6000 Premium + 4000 for the hybrid: 54,500 out the door give or take $2000?

Trd pro and trailhunter are i force max hybrid engine only right? I wouldn’t even be suprised if it’s at least $57k smh

So does end the hope for a double cab 6ft bed manual transmission?
According to the Autopian, there are 17 frame variants, 1 of which is specifically designed for the manual, so I think it's safe to say that they aren't going to surprise us with the long bed or the short cab. Apparently, they can't just drop the manual into the same frame as the auto.

After that Inital shock wore off I realized the price is actually a few grand less than I expected out of the gate for the model I'm aiming for. I just hope the Canadian pricing to veer to far from the US pricing model.

I do worry for those aiming for a TRD Pro though, definitely wouldn't be worth the cost to me given the price of the Limited.

I think a some of it really depends on what you're looking at. Limited is about an $8k increase ($10k if you didn't care about 4WD). You're getting a lot more, sure, but it's a pretty big jump, and certain to be even more to get the hybrid. I also think some of it has to do with the efficiency getting less of a boost than some people expected, which changes the value proposition.

Personally, I'm still waiting to see hybrid numbers and pricing, but I'm just disappointed enough in the efficiency to be looking at other options. The pricing is pretty much what I expected (though I had hoped the non-hybrid Limited would come in just under 50 and the hybrid just over), but I am hoping for something around 24-26 combined. I thought they'd push for class-leading efficiency, and they still could get that with the hybrid...but it's looking less likely.

Agree..When the 3rd Gen came out everyone said the same things lol... Hopefully the configurator goes up soon

Good luck, Toyota dealers. Those prices are pretty daring -- like Trailhunter-level adventurous. Lots of folks may look elsewhere for their smallish midsize pickup truck needs based on price alone. And market adjustments? Forget about those. You'll have a difficult enough time convincing people to pay MSRP.

I don't think the prices are unreasonable, mind you. But they're at or near top of class across the board -- and we don't even know what the two halo trucks will cost. For a lot of people, a pickup truck is a thing used to haul stuff from point A to point B, sometimes up and down hills and off roads, often getting dirty in the process. It's not a bespoke McLaren with associated bespoke pricing.

People will shop elsewhere at these prices. Toyota will still sell a bunch of them -- their reputation, and fierce owner loyalty, will ensure that. But the company obviously isn't looking to mangle their competition. They're happy to, ah, keep on truckin' along sales-wise.

So far, a swing and a hit... sort of a dribbler to first base.

I'm really annoyed they didn't release any info for the Hybrid trims. I'm also surprised by the price of the Limited as it makes me think the TRD Pro is going to be close to $60k. At $55k for the Pro I'm still a buyer, but above that I will be looking at other options as well, including the Ranger Raptor and the new full size Ram 1500.

Makes me glad I went ahead and got my 2023 Limited last month. It was 43,500 out the door. I have a feeling the used market on the V6's are going to be pretty strong for awhile.

What are you budgeting for the upgrade to the premium and the iforceMax?
The difference between the 2024 I Force Max and I Force in the Tundra is $3,720. The 2023 Premium Off Road Package is $6,000, so my target price for a 2024 Tacoma OR SB is $54,115 with destination fees. Hope it’s not too much more.
