I've been searching for a while for a skid plate for my TRD Sport. Changed my mind multiple times on which company to use until I ran into this company. The owner (Dave) was great to deal with. Answered my emails quickly and seemed friendly. He advised that there was a slight delay with the front support bar due to powder coating , which I was fine with . The skid plate and support bar arrived today so I installed it . Super easy to install - I was able to install it on the ground without it lifted. The aluminum skid plate was a work of art . And a bonus is that it's made in North America ( Canada ) . I have no association to this company and I paid for the skid plates . Here's a link to them if you want more details : https://www.okexpedition.ca/tacoma-24

Looks pretty good. Comparible pricing to what I paid for the RCI crossmember and a TRD Pro skid plate. How much do you think it weighs?

I was also debating on going that same route but decided on this one instead. .

According to the company, the front support weighs approx. 15 lbs and the engine skid plate weighs 28 lbs.

Probably the same weights as the trd skid plate. I’m sure they’ll both work well

I definitely like how with the TRD skid plate , you can leave 2 bolts in place and hang there while you secure the rest of the bolts. But eventually chose this one as I wanted to support a smaller business.

I am genuinely impressed with the design. The gussets are super strong, the welding is top-notch, and the bolts install flush/recessed so they aren't going to get caught on anything. I bought a set (I think the day they were released?) and they went on easily in a few minutes.

These guys are also working on a gas tank skid and I'll be buying that (or anything else they produce) when it comes out. They have been really prompt with answering questions and I also like that I'm supporting local.
