FYI for those getting a hybrid sport/limited - you might get the extra cross member.

My Limited Hybrid has the extra cross member.

Welp, to all you guys paid $300 for the NYTOP crossmember.... $39 bucks from RCI.

Wouldn't be surprised if pretty much everyone canceled their pre-orders

Big props to RCI on their fair pricing.

My order is in. $61 with tax and shipping.
This is exactly why I waited, I knew there was no way Nytop's price was anywhere close to what other options would be! Thanks for the heads up!

I just saw this—very good to know. It’s most likely due to the extra weight of the hybrid systems, so the hybrids get the OR frame. I wonder if that frame has any other pieces or mounting points that would be useful?

Is the cross member welded on, or is there a OEM part we can buy? If not I’ll go with the RCI one.

What came with my OR is a bolt on cross member, 2 bolts each end, with two skid plate mount location in between. I got the front covert bumber and skid plate set, did not need the cross member. See picture.

Yeah I think the gravy train for NYTOP and their over priced items is over. They had some cool "first to market" stuff but that has ended. There is already someone making the axle dump tip for $99 as well.

I dont know. Mine has the welded-in cross member.

Another thread has a guy with the same trim as me and didn't get any cross member.

Now an offroad gets a bolt-on from the factory.

I guess they're just using whatever parts they have to make trucks.

I was hoping the hybrids got the cross member included. I would buy the RCI version but don't want to have to try and return it in case I luck out. I'm at least two months out before delivery.

Just had a look at the nytop website, seems their price has been updated to $39 now :)

NYTOP posted that they had to lower the price to compete and that they were losing quite a bit of money on them. I wouldn't expect them to make anything like this for our truck in the future.
Noticed that too. Just ordered from RCI. Rather buy one made in the USA then in China.

I just purchased a TRD skid plate for my 2024 TRD sport. The front two bolt holes on the skid plate do not have anywhere to mount to on the car. Instructions that came with the plate says that 6 bolts hold it up which I only could find 4. Does anyone know if there is a crossmember that the sports dont have that the skid plate mounts to? The skid plate hangs down lower than I would like on the front and theres only 4 bolts holding it on.

Hello, realize this thread is from MAY, now its NOV.... but I am going through the same scenario now with my New TRD Sport, and was recommended (ordered, Not installed yet) an aftermarket cross member from RCI offroad, to mount the OEM TRD Skid plate. Thought I would post in case it can help anyone else, link: https://rcimetalworks.com/product/front-skidplate-mounting-crossmember-24-present-tacoma/
