What about hybrids? Are you considering a tune for the hybrid and if so would it focus on the gas side of the powertrain?

Also, does this tune just focus on HP and Torque versus throttle response? If I were to do a tune I would not want to change anything about the throttle - it’s perfect how it is

Also would you guys consider a tune that kept everything “stock” in normal drive mode (factory tune) but then unleashed OTT in sport mode?

Absolutely, We are fully committed to supporting hybrid platforms in the Tacoma, Land Cruiser, and the upcoming 6G 4Runner. While we’re in the development phase and still fine-tuning our Hybrid calibration variant, we’ve got internal test vehicles in action to ensure we get it just right before release.

Regarding your question about HP/TQ versus throttle response, we’re initially rolling out our "OEM+" calibration, which aligns perfectly with what you’re looking for. This calibration retains all the positive driving characteristics of the OEM setup while enhancing power delivery. It’s designed to feel very OEM, with a slight improvement in turbo spool and increased low-end torque, giving you a strong midrange punch and higher RPM pull that the stock calibration misses.

We intend to release a calibration specifically for the SR trim to bring it up to its full rated output, alongside our comprehensive OTT power calibration and manual transmission calibrations. We recognize the importance of giving the SR and manual options the attention they deserve, and while further development is needed to ensure everything meets our standards.

We’ve rigorously tested the "OEM+" calibration across various climates and conditions, including towing 6000 lbs up steep mountain passes, to ensure its reliability before it hits the market. We’re close to release, but we want to polish a couple of final details—one of which may involve a hard-coded aspect that we’re exploring further.

As for your suggestion about keeping everything stock in normal drive mode while unleashing OTT in sport mode, we hear you! Currently, all drive modes reference a single set of maps that ultimately determines engine output but each drive mode has mapping that determines how that power is delivered. As we continue to develop the platform, we might be able to offer something more dynamic in the future. For now, the OEM+ calibration will maintain the original driving characteristics across all modes.

Stay tuned for more updates—we can’t wait to share what’s coming next! The towing data on the "OEM+" calibration is pretty exciting! We'll be sharing that here soon.

Interesting - I suppose you can deliver more than 465 lb feet of torque.. that could be interesting .. and maybe some more top end HP

Following this with curiosity.

I think it'd be really innovative if on top of tweaking the curves across the regular drive modes, you altered "Eco" to drop the A/C limiting nonsense and instead adjust battery/electric motor engagement points to genuinely stretch the MPG with even power/torque versus pushing for maximum P/T. Thus taking on a genuine "eco" vs "sport/sport+" mode.

I can't wait for you guys to release a tune for the manual transmission to eliminate this horrible REV hang. That is my only complaint with my truck so far.

You guys did great with the Gen 3 and I am sure you will do the same with the Gen 4.

Apologies for the delay in responding!

Our OEM+ offering is available for non-hybrid models right now. We've not formally announced/released it as some specialized pieces of kit are necessary to flash these new ECUs. We have a large order to supply our retailers with the necessary equipment. Once they are properly equipped, we'll make a formal announcement.

In the meantime, anyone in the SLC, UT area is welcome to contact me.

Does this include the 6 speed manual transmission? I would almost drive to Utah from the east coast to get rid of this rev hang LOL

This could have unintended consequences for the longevity of both the battery and the electric motor. I’d be hesitant to f with that.

I can’t even see a reason to tune the 4th gen, it seems perfectly tuned and balanced right from the factory

That graph is all the reason to do it for me. thats like having the 5.7L V8 Torque and power in a mid sized truck. Looking forward to see what it puts out with Bolt ons.
