Rattle in JBL Speaker

Hello! I have a rattle in my front passenger door speaker. Its the JBL sound system. I have messed with the sound tuning on both the truck and phone, but no luck. The dealership “looked into it” but said they couldn’t do anything. It’s not busted but rather I think the actual speaker unit might be loose. Anyone have issues with this? And is it difficult to take the door panel off to look? Thanks!

I would do what you're thinking of doing and get in there and tighten the hardware.

This is what worked for me. Just dont over-tighten them because they thread into plastic.

I watched the entire video and I learned nothing about the door panel lol

Are you certain it’s the speaker? I just chased down my rattle in the passenger door yesterday that only rattles with some good bass. Try this, with the door closed and a song that makes it rattle, push on the right side of the trim piece that has “TRD” on it. If that stops the rattle, then a piece of foam or cloth between the door plastic and metal will fix it.

I cut a 5 inch long 2 inch wide strip of black cloth pipe wrap and used plastic trim tools to wedge it between the plastic door panel and the metal of the door with the center being right where the door latch is. I’d take a picture but I drove my old Tundra to work today. It was a pain to find where that rattle was, I restarted a Colt Ford song about 50 times before I finally figured it out lol.

Pop off the door panel and slap sound deadening all inside and especially around the speakers. My rattle is gone now.
