Got a little exited when I read about this a while back.
Until I saw the dreaded "EV".

I will be tuning in for the reveal as I am very curious about MSRP, range, styling, etc.

A lot is riding on resurrecting the iconic Scout brand. It will either be a hit or a flop with the general public.

Range will suck if the design team doesn't compromise on the box look.

Remove the electrolyte from the battery packs and maybe they'll get some interest. It'll be more niche than a Bollinger

I thought we were waiting for an all-new Toyota Scout; not a small company electrifying an old chassis.

You'd think these companies would learn from the electric F-150 fiasco. Hybrid-yes..........full electric-No!
No, the lesson learned is that those looking for an electric truck DO NOT want the inefficiency of a luxed out full sized truck. If they had offered the ranger or ideally the Maverick as electric or plug in hybrid with good economy and the ability to "light offload" it would be a different story. Now if only the BYD Shark would come to the US or Canada and we'd see the big 3 actually have to come to the table with a competive vehicle that the public would want to buy.

I do NOT want an electric car or a truck. The infrastructure isn't there yet to support it or the technology. To long to charge.
