Selling your OEM tires?

Hey guys new to trucks here. Wanting to get a nice new set of wheels and tires for the taco. Basically brand new truck. My question is.. are people buying the Oem wheels/tires? Find it odd that anyone would purchase them. Thanks for any help

The first thing I did with my OR was to trade in my 4-ply tires and put a set of 10-plies on. They gave me $250 for the trade in.

There must be a market for them or Les Schwab wouldn't have wanted them.

You probably should dismount the tires and sell separately. Those chrome rims are not going to sell.

Sold the OEM tires with 500 miles for 500.00. Put them on Facebook marketplace and had 4 buyers in less than 4 hours.

i plan to try to sell my sport tires on fb marketplace, hope someone wants them. i don't really care how cheap, just want to get something back for them to offset the new ones.

took me a few months to sell my TRD Sport wheels through FB marketplace. Finally got rid of them for $500

I bought new tires from Discount Tire Direct long before my truck arrived at the dealer, and arranged to include the black TRD wheels in my truck’s purchase order when I bought it. At the advice of someone else on this forum I then inquired if the dealership would buy the OEM wheels and tires or credit me on the PO. I wasn’t sure they would go for it but they did, and cut me a $1250 check for the set.

Considering the price on the black TRD wheels I wanted was 1300 and change, I basically got them in exchange for the OEMs - fine by me and easy.

Wow, that dealership deal sounds pretty sweet! Wish i'd known about that option before I took delivery. Maybe next time, I guess.
