I'm interested in your opinion. My only concern is that it would allow splashing water like in a huge rainstorm the ability to saturate the filter element. Looks like a straight shot right in to the element through the large opening. I would probably add a mesh door flap that extends down 4-5 inches to collect any water on it while still allowing the air to flow normally. I mean, it would certainly cause some turbulence, but imho, probably worth it. Hard to tell though without having one in my hands.
