All great points guys...truly appreciate you taking the time to give feedback and comments! Currently I am still on course with the 2025 Tacoma. I do think the ZR2 is an absolute beast...truly a legit off roader, turn key from the dealer lot. It does come up short on a few things unrelated to it's off-road nature. As for the engine, it seems robust, but long term reliability is TBD. I've read many comments that oil consumption is being accepted by owners at 0.5-1 quart per 5k mile oil change...which to me, is unacceptable. The 2.7T also has an electric water pump, and there is only direct fuel injection. I'm sure the durability is there...but GM hasn't really built a bulletproof 4 popper in decades...the ecotec line has experienced many many issues. However...the 2.7 was built from the ground up as a dedicated truck engine, so there's that reassurance.

The Colorado does trump the Tacoma with some options/features, but lacks things like a bed camera, true lane centering driving assist, power passenger seat, and I think it could seriously benefit from some active noise cancelling (...engine autotune through the speakers). It would make the driving experience far more upscale, even if it is fake. I happen to really like it in the Tacoma. It's a little overbearing in the Tundra however

I placed an order on a 2025 saturday, to avoid hopefully all the ridiculouse port add ons, i have a feeling that toyota may change on the crazy add ons, from dealership levels , there are a large amount of SR 5,s that have been loaded up to price that model over where it should be and dealers are sitting on them

Is anyone else frustrated that we still donā€™t have official info on the 2025 Tacoma? Itā€™s already October 2024
2025 you say? šŸ˜ The 2024 that I was waiting for is still not available. I waited for over a year and eventually gave up and placed an order for a 2025 Maverick. Could not be happier.

Ironically my brother in law is debating trading his maverick bc heā€™s not sure how long it will last (he got one early on) for a Tacoma.
Anyways, back on topic: any chance of the Tacoma getting heritage blue like the LC and 4-runner?

Also looks like Celestial Silver is being replaced with Cutting Edge Silver. Hoping the Tacoma gets the driver memory?
