TSB: 2024 Tacoma Transmission Failures Issue & Replacement (9/9/24). Updated w/ VIN Lookup Tool

I’m in the range but so far my transmission is fine at 9k miles.

Do you need to have one of the check engine codes to get the replacement? Will the codes always pop up or could I still have a code without actually having a check engine light?

Wait for it to fail

It does not mean it will fail, just that it might. A TSB is a big plus if you have transmission problems because it will mean that the dealer knows exactly what to do.

steps to figure out if your VIN is in the TSB.

1. your VIN is an exact match to the letters and numbers to the left of the "#" in the TSB list
2. your VIN has a number to the right of the "#" that is less than the number in the matched line found in 1.

if you can do both 1. and 2., your VIN is in the TSB
