I am unable to customize the Suspension, Engine and Steering Wheel settings for the Custom Drive mode. The radio buttons in the Custom mode Settings screen are set to "Normal" and they cannot be changed. When you click on some of the other setting, the screen beeps, but the setting remains on Normal. The dealer says they contacted Toyota about it, but so far no answer. It looks like a software bug to me.

Did anybody else see this problem?

Same here. I was going to mention it to the dealer when I get my new grill shutter installed next week.

Mines did that once and after turning the truck off and back on seems to work. But had to restart the infotament system twice for frozen screen. Not sure also if there is a way to use the android system only on blue tooth and not on wifi. When both is on at the same time the battery on phone dies pretty quick, not to mention my phone does not do well with QI charging with phone clear phone case on.

Like I mentioned in another thread, the Custom Drive Mode was created and installed for a reason. Hope to find out why eventually. I made a few phone calls but no luck. Guess now it's just wait and see.

Stupid question, but just want to be clear. Everyone commenting here does have "Adaptive Variable Suspension" on their limited correct? It was an option and was not standard.

Custom drive mode is only applicable if you have that option according to the manual.

I do. It was listed as the "Limited" option by the dealer, but the sticker says "Adaptive Suspension". Also, there is the "Comfort" mode, in which the ride is notably smoother than, for example, in the Sport or Sport+ modes.

Moreover, the Custom mode has options to set not only the suspension, but also the Engine and Steering; none of the settings works.

Just wondering if any Tacoma Limited trims were sold without the AVS option? I haven’t seen any listed without it. It seems to be listed as a $395 AVS option or Limited Package on every Limited sold.

Hopefully a software update gets pushed to fix this soon. Pretty glaring bug.

I have the AVS as well and cannot change the settings in the Custom drive mode. Hope to hear of the fix soon but not getting my hopes up. I am not impressed with the Toyota software and UI. Just setting up your profile and Toyota app was insane.

I heard this mentioned so in other threads so I figure it is a known bug.

I checked a brand new Limited on the dealer's lot today, and it does not have this problem. In addition, there is also a new setting for air conditioning. So there must be a new software version for the display, but when I check software updates, mine shows that none are available.

Does anybody know how to get the display software revision? I could not find it...

I have an appointment with the dealer's master technician next Friday, so we'll see what they have to say.

It might be an update the dealer has to perform, particularly if it changes the functionality of something.
