I found one and ordered it.. I’ll let you guys know how well it works.. If nothing else, at least I have the camera part of the system..

No because what was described as the camera system was just a power adapter. Found the system for about $900 from dealer but don’t want to buy that until know it will work and whether dealers can potentially install the other 2 fins. Seems like dealers have no idea and trying to talk to Toyota engineers is like talking to the wall. The response I got from them at Overland East about the small gas tank was frivolous. They have no idea what the real mpg is nor the range. They probably all drive a Prius and small gas tank is NBD. End of rant!

?? Just need this box? No antenna? I found price around $400 for Telematics box. I am assuming the rest of the speaker box and seat belt assy is not needed.

bought a copy of the factory service manual.
and supporting your statements that the antennas and wiring are separate. It has those diagrams as well.

Some fun additionals for you Gurvy (if you confirm the module is behind the seat and buy a camera) - here are the troubleshooting steps for seeing the camera

Wireless camera image is not displayed when the AUX menu icon is pressed.

Confirm that 12 V power is being supplied to the wireless camera or that the internal battery is more than 30 % charged​

Confirm that the wireless camera is paired with the trailer camera ECU (communication telematics box)​

Confirm that the audio and visual system is operating correctly.​

Confirm that the panoramic view monitor system is operating correctly.​

PROCEDURE

1.​	CHECK TRAILER CAMERA SYSTEM (CURRENT SIGNAL STRENGTH)

(a) Ensure the trailer camera system is tested without obstacles blocking line of sight or strong nearby Wi-Fi interference.


(b) Navigate to AUX menu screen on the multi-display and enter the diagnostic menu.


(c) Locate wireless signal strength menu parameter and take note of current signal strength when camera is 914.5 cm (30.00 ft.) behind the rear of the vehicle.


(d) Check the flicker condition is present when the wireless camera is 30 feet behind rear of vehicle.


OK:


Flicker does not occurs.

TKS, been a long time since reading this thread.

I have the WCS system on my 2024 Trailhunter. Toyota said it must be part of the order, that the WCS cannot be added later. There are two extra antennae on the roof.

My camera is matched to my VIN. That said... I cannot get it to connect. It appears to me that the battery is not charging, and I think the battery must be charged for it to work. Plugging it into the media center as instructed did not work. Toyota service at the dealership stated that they really were not trained on it, but the sales folks were!

Anyway... will chase this down to see if it needs a replacement battery or if it is operator error. Hopefully this will get fixed...
