I finally struck a deal and pulled the trigger on a 2024 OR Premium with Soft Tonneau and Bed Scene Lighting (loving that so far). Outside of puckering up every time the thing shifts even remotely rough, I'm loving the thing.

I'm just wondering..I used Carista to get rid of the seatbelt alarms, engine noise enhancement, etc. However, on startup, there's still chiming, and I notice a wrench below the tachometer with 9,6__ miles. I'm guessing it's telling me I'll need to change the oil in 9,6__ miles, but do I need that every startup? Is there a way to get rid of that? Am I the only one and my truck is going to grenade tomorrow morning? 🙂

Oil pressure is fine, no warning lights while running....any input would be appreciated.

Quit worrying about your transmission–the TSB addressed the early builds.

The truck will always show when maintenance is due. As for the dings, without putting your seatbelt on, you'll still get three (or four?) dings and then it'll stop. Even after using the Carista app.

Haha, yeah as far as I can tell mine is about 50,000 trucks AFTER the acknowledged an issue. Also, the issue is not with the design or engineering of the transmission, just a production process flaw. So I decided to move forward.

Also, thank you for confirming, that's exactly what happens...a few dings then it goes away. Hardly a big deal, just wanted to #1 there wasn't an issue I was ignoring but also #2 to see if I could get rid of it. I can obviously live with it though.

The ding won't dong if your seat belt is on prior to starting the truck lol. But yea, like @Sagebrush said, it's just at startup telling you that the seat belt isn't on, and doesn't go away even with Carista.

Looks like Carista does a lot for a fee. My only issue is the seat belt ding when I don't need it. I use the tikit (Thetikit.com) to shut it off for a very few $ once. Dog in the passenger seat, groceries, constantly opening gates, or getting in and out to shoot pictures or varmints in the back country these are great. Don't buy just one 'cause you'll give it away or a friend will take it. It works on the 4G as shipped, but I ran a file over the back side and along one edge to make it slip in and out easier.

Also realizing, while Carista stops the alarms if you prefer not to wear your seatbelt, the cruise control doesn't work unless the belt is buckled. Really starting to hate this truck, lol.

That's one thing about the internet, someone always comes up with a cheaper way. Thanks, I'm ordering this!

This doesn't follow with what mine does. I didn't start getting the wrench until i was a few hundred miles short of a service (5242 miles, in my case.) The wrench continued to show after I reset the service minder (after doing the service) but without the miles.
