As the title suggest, I used to lock my old Cruze all the time with the Chevrolet app while the vehicle was running,
I was hoping I could do the same with the Tacoma as I have the 6M and we're not graced with the remote start/stop feature, and it sucks to shut down your vehicle for even two minutes in our -40ā°C weather that's about to hit us soon.
When I tried with the vehicle running yesterday, no keys in the truck and far enough away that the truck wouldn't detect the key, the app told me "Cannot lock vehicle while vehicle is driving" well.... The vehicle isn't driving. It's in neutral with the parking brake engaged.
Anyone know if that's a general error or if it's just worded incorrectly and won't let you lock the truck while it's running?
Kinda sucks, I'm assuming I'm going to have to wait for an aftermarket manual transmission remote start.
