I understand your view, truly… but I am also assuming you’re in perfect health and while I’ve owned many trucks both lowered (Tacoma XRunner) and lifted up to 8”, I am also a post cancer survivor so even the littlest jarring can be taxing on my nervous system. If you read most of what’s been said, the answer comes to softer tires and better shocks/springs… even a leveling kit will help. Just never noticed it when I test drove her before pulling the trigger on buying my Tacoma.

Tires make an enormous difference. Nitto makes a few SL options, so does General and a few others. The Mickey Thompsons in SL also look good. But why can’t they be bigger!

I considered Westcott but their times are 4-5 months out. I finally got a chance to run by my shop and put the 285s against my stock height 4G, it’ll definitely be taxing on turning radius but just sitting static, it should be fine. I might just leave them alone (crash bars)…
But definitely pulling off the wind diffuser. It’s just fugly. Lol

I think that’s because they’re using 75. Here’s my truck with 285 70/17 Before the lift. There was no rubbing of any kind.

I don’t have OP’s same issues but I’m also looking to improve ride quality. I went from the stock 265/70/18 SL wranglers (32.6”, 40lb) to Falken AT4Ws in LT275/70/18 E (33.4”, 60lb). It now rides a lot rougher.

Thinking to change to another tire but I’m not sure if it’s the E rating or the weight or the compound causing the rougher ride. And I’d prefer not to go down in diameter. There are no C load options in my size. I’ve heard the Toyo AT3 LTs are softer but I don’t know (they are also 7lb lighter). If anyone has advice for a nice riding tire in these upper sizes let me know. Also looking at the Nokian.

I was debating getting the AT4W 285/70/18 in C Load but the weight of 68 lbs is making me second guess. Found this Bridgestone Dueler A/T Ascent that weighs 53 lbs in 275/70/18 and 56 lbs in the 295/70/18, both are E load but heard they are quiet and smooth ride. Might just go with the 295 for 3 more lbs, hopefully I won't have to remove the crash pads on my TH.

You might have to remove crash pads with 295s
