Removable JBL speaker notification

Does anyone know if the Tacoma will warn you if the speaker isn't present. Meaning if I leave it somewhere will the truck warn me before I drive away?

I know none of us have the truck yet but I haven't seen this addressed in any of the reviews

The stereo will adjust the speaker output to make up for the missing speaker, so I assume it'll give you some sort of notification. That said, the audiophile in me will immediately hear it, on the off chance I miss the big gaping hole where it goes lol.

I've heard there will be some aftermarket accessories that will utilize that space if you don't want the speaker? I have to think there will be a number of those speakers on eBay shortly.

Yeah I was under that impression as well. That would a very handy place to utilize more power on the dash for GoPros, Audio/etc

I seen that and remember thinking why are they surprised? Toyota's seatbelt warning has always been obnoxious. My Camry shows no mercy if I don't wear my belt lol.

I’m pretty sure I saw a USB charge port on the side of mine when I pulled it to use in the house to see how good it was. I thought about trying tge stereo without it to see if it makes a big difference.

Toyota's seatbelt warning has always been obnoxious.

I actually started laughing when I heard the seatbelt chime in my new truck. It is by far the worst I’ve heard in any vehicle.

It’s not all that great, not much bass. I have a couple other portables that are much nicer with way better sound. It’s okay for what it is, don’t think I will be using it that often. As others have said? It’s hard to detect if it’s even pumping any sound out when it’s in the car, about the same from my other two cars with a center dash mounted speaker. You don’t want to lose it or have it stolen and end up with a blank hole in your dash. I’m sure someone will come up with a 3d print design as a plug for this that don’t feel safe leaving it in there in “bad” neighborhoods.
