The first pic should give a decent angle for comparison but it's surprising the taco looks the same width just sits a bit shorter. But numbers wise it should be like 3-4inches narrower

Edit: might be because Tacoma is closer to the front

That Tundra grill is ridiculous. Reminds me of a whale shark.
Agreed. Not only is the grille huge, but that plastic trim looks awful. One reason we didn't consider the Hyundai Palisade when shopping for the wife's next vehicle was it had the same type of trim as the Tundra. So cheap-looking. The entire front-end just looks like a bad afterthought.

The Tacoma looks so much better. Glad it didn't adopt the Tundra's look of having the entire front fascia being one huge grill.

If Toyota put a real back seat in the Taco they'd have hit it to the moon. #missedopportunities

and...the Tundra is fugly, imo.

Maybe its the same design team as the Lexus front end disaster.

I totally agree. The Tacoma hits so many sweet spots on size, but I just wish the back seat had another inch or two and was slightly more comfy. If you jump to the Tundra it is just WAY more size than needed.

That said though, I'm six foot even. I sat in one and positioned my seat then moved to the back. I still had a good inch or two of space between my knees and the back of the seat. It felt like plenty of room. My bigger issue with the back seat is that none of the trims have rear vents or a rear armrest.

If I could spec the Tacoma, I’d take the 6’ bed and make it 5’6”, and use the other 6” for the backseat leg room. I just can’t see Toyota doing this as long as the Tundra exists.

Yeah that Tundra chrome stash is horrific! I own a 2013 Tundra and it’s getting replaced by a Tacoma! Kids are gone so I don’t need the space, and the new Tundra is a wreck in my opinion!

Agree. I don't like the look of the longbed on the tacoma. An extra 6" in the bed and backseat would be about perfect.

I wonder how close in size the 2024 Tacoma DC is compared to the pre-Tundra Toyota T100s?
