I can't say enough good things about tuxmat. They are perfect in just about every way. The coverage seems to have zero competition as it goes all the way up the carpet sidewall. Pretty much all carpet is covered.

Meanwhile, it doesn't lose it's shape, is easy to clean, and offers just the right amount of plush. I previously had weathertech, but I got tuxmat after I was disappointed with how they held up. They warped and curled at the edges which hurt coverage.

Note that the look like some form of fabric, but they are very much not. They are perfect all weather waterproof mats. Also, they are not yet available for the 2024, but they should be soon. The prototypes recently got installed on a forum member's Tacoma.

I got the "x-act" cut listed mats from Amazon today. I'm pretty sure they are actually the weather beaters.

Regardless of what they are I wouldn't pay $25 for these. Yikes. I'm pretty sure they are used as well šŸ˜‚

Yup, I am patiently waiting for their release, maybe another month or so.

I confirmed with Husky that the correct stock number for the contours is 54581. They also mentioned they have changed the logo to a molded one which is different than the old contours.

Just got my X-Act Contours from Real Truck and I take back my commentā€¦seems that Weatherbeaters and X-Act Contours use the same mold??

I originally had a set of weatherbeaters that I just sold. They are a more firm almost plastic like material which I didnā€™t care for. The X-Act Contours are more rubbery. That said my impression was that they were supposed to be heaviery/thicker. They also donā€™t have the diamond matrix at your heal as shown on renderings and donā€™t look as nice as photos Iā€™ve seen of Contours in other vehicles. A little bummedā€¦ Iā€™ll give them a try though.

Pic of X-Act Contour and the box (I know itā€™s not supposed to be the same mat but I was expecting the diamond matrix by the heal. The heal ā€œpadā€ os thinner too):

Seems to be just a material difference. I opted for the weatherbeaters after watching this vid.

Waiting for the TuxMats that I saw the thread here about - those look legit and like they'll actually fit.

Now that Iā€™ve installed them, Iā€™m liking them a bit better. Definitely better than the weather beaters. I like the grip. The driver side fits perfect for me. The passenger side has a little bit of an imperfection, but not too bad.

FYI, here is a picture of the tuxmat prototype from the thread on here. Compare this to the husky above. There is no competition here. The battle was decided before it began.

Do you care about how a floor mat that will get dirty as hell looks, or do you want to buy one that will do the best at the job you bought it for?

I guess the mold number just references the truck shape not the mat type. I just wasn't happy with the quality and fit for the ones I got. Going to keep looking at options.
