$4395 or... about $1k more than the base ARE V series with a few added options. I know this because I compared them at a brick and mortar before landing on the ARE. Honestly, I probably would have gone with the SmartCap but the indefinite wait, at that time, coupled with my immediate need made me go for the cheaper option.

That said, I'm comparing the SmartCap to the cheapest ARE shell so its price might actually be close to an optioned out CX series.

I would really like to purchase this for my Trail hunter, but I have questions about how the back up camera/ 360 camera will be affected since the camera I believe is located in the 3rd brake light. Does anyone have any information on this?

Backup and 360 are handled by a camera on the tailgate. Digital rear view and bed cargo views will be affected by a cap/shell.

Interestingly, RSI offers a window for that camera and light in their fullsize caps, but don't offer it in their midsize. I'd be curious to see whether that trend continues with the 4G Taco.

I pre-ordered the Evo Sport Smart Cap the other day. I will likely be purchasing the camera re-location kit mentioned in the other thread so I can use the rearview mirror feature.
