Anyone with an sr5 that removed their “snow plow” know if there is enough room to get under the truck and change the oil without having to use ramps or jacks?

That is great news. When I moved last year I left my floor jack and stands behind because I thought I was done with doing my own oil changes. But as the arrival of my new Taco gets closer, I am rethinking that. I don't want to do 10k mile intervals, I do want to do an early breakin oil change, and that means the included oil changes won't last very long. I also don't like other people changing the oil in my trucks, because I don't trust them to do it right.

So I already decided that if I can fit under my truck without raising it I will still be doing my own. It is good to hear that should be possible.

On a Trd pro you deff shouldn’t have an issue I think they sit even higher

Yep - if I remember correctly it has a 1" lift in the rear and 1.5" lift in the front.

Am I right that 4th gens have spin off oil filters? After 14 years of changing the messy cartridge filters in my Tundra that would be a big plus.

I like to put it on the ramps so the engine is tilted so more dirty oil comes out.

That's interesting because I always figured that sitting flat would let more oil out. Maybe sitting at an angle is the right way to go. At a dealership it is probably sitting flat on a lift, but they never take the time to let it drain completely anyway.

My current truck (like the 4th gen) has the drain plug on the side of the sump, so not all of the oil will ever drain out. I have lowered the passenger side of my Tundra when it was on jack stands and it definitely lets more oil out. I could never understand why the drain plug was not on the bottom of the sump on current Toyotas.
