From excited to feeling nervous about my Tacoma Limited order

I absolutely love reading and learning about everybody’s Tacoma experiences etc… I myself have never owned a truck let alone a Tacoma. With that said I have a 2024 Tacoma Limited in Wind Chill Pearl on order expected to be delivered in a couple of weeks and have been really excited about it. But lately I find myself a bit nervous after going into forums and reading so many negative stories people have written about the new Tacoma’s. Obviously I’ve read a lot of positive stories, but like I said I feel a bit nervous about my purchase and don’t even have the truck yet. I’m sure it’s just me worrying to much. Keep the positive stories coming please.

I‘ve had my truck for a week and a half, have put about 800 miles on it, and I get a smile on my face every time I sit in it.

Can’t wait to get my 1,000 miles in so I can push her a little!

I haven’t had any issues with mine, and hopefully it stays that way. What I would say to you is, if 1,000 people buy a product and 5 people hate it, you’ll see 25 posts about how bad that product is because people who are frustrated want to share it with the world. The other 995 people are too busy enjoying it, and some, like me, may post something positive now and then.

Go buy your truck, make it yours, and enjoy the hell out of it.

6K miles in 2 months, zero problems. Toyota has a reputation for reliability, so when issues arise it’s magnified. However it’s disappointing to see failures and hear about people waiting several weeks or months for replacement parts from Toyota!

3500 miles, 7 states in 5 weeks and a joy every time i've driven it. Went easy on her at first and now i just drive "Summer" and don't worry about her - love it

Love the 6’ boxes and just got mine last week. Had to go away so today was my first day driving it. More posts to come but I’m happy with it, just figuring stuff out on it.
The stories gave me pause and I bought the 5 year bumper to bumper warranty and will update once I “put some miles on it”.

6' bed makes it so fast and easy to roll our 2 cruiser bikes straight in, 1 strap holding each bike to the either side of the bed & 1 strap holding them tight across from each other... takes about 1 minute tailgate closes with 1/2" to spare... MTN bikes just a bit longer so a slight turn of the front wheel

We might try out our Kayaks tomorrow in the bed, as i am still waiting to see if there will be someone making Roof Rails that will fit in the Tacoma roof slots...

Im at 1k miles, love my 4th gen. Only thing I’ll say negative is the transmission can be kinda wacky until it warms up. Occasional weird shift. Yesterday it shifted perfectly even when cold though.

Beautiful looking truck!! One thing I’ve read a lot about is the “break in” period with the turbo vehicles, so I will (and drive that way anyway) take it easy with my Limited when it arrives. Wishing you all the best with “Summer”!!

I have 7500 kms on mine. It’s exactly what I wanted. Fun to drive. Massive tech upgrade over my 2011 F150. Looks cool. Better on gas. Really good in 4WD. Can’t wait to try it out in the winter on ski trips.

It’s an awesome machine. Don’t let the internet haters sway you.

JBL is mediocre at best compared to our previous ELS 3D system in our Acura, and I am 65! I am blacking out all the chrome except front grill and tailgate handle. Just ordered OEM mirror cap covers in Wind Chill Pearl. Toyota has accessory and parts at 15% today and the next few days in addition to what the participating dealers have already discounted. Comes out to about 25-30% off!!
