Update. I was told to try different pressures lol. I have it set at the psi the books states for my weight. I was told they will address it with the Toyota rep.

Nothing to do with air pressure imo. It's like a sheet metal bending sound. My dealer said- "maybe it's the nature of the beast.' BS. The passenger seat doesn't do it.

The iso dynamic driver seat clunks when I move in a certain way or in response to how the truck is moving. Passenger seat doesnā€™t seem to do it when I sit in it. Iā€™m trying to pin down where itā€™s coming from. Maybe the area of the seat behind my upper back. Need to play with it moreā€¦.My wife isnā€™t getting the clunking when she drives (difference in body weight I guess). Anyone else feeling this?
Had my truck in for service today. Asked them to look into the seat clunk. We all agree...it clunks šŸ˜‚. Question is why. Without ripping it all apart it will be hard to say and they don't seem too keen to want to do that because they don't know anything about these seats when it comes down to it. I'm going to leave it for now to see if anything develops from Toyota. They said I could call Toyota myself...I may. Anyone else learn anything if you are having this issue?

Neither of my seats do this, so I say there is obviously something wrong with the seats that do. Most of you have one seat which is fine. It isn't really a question whether this is normal.

Some dealers will sleaze out of warranty work, and they probably know zero about these seats. But in a halo model Toyota needs to fix whatever is clunking in your seats, end of story.

Going straight to Toyota might be a good move. I have a great dealer, but they are rare.

Mine clunks as well. When you push backward at the top of the seat itā€™s like it flexes back and when it springs back forward, it hits a hard stop and you feel it it the seat.

@NCEngineer Is this just while driving on road or off? Is the seat suspension engaged when it happens or off? Have you adjusted the air pressure in the seat shocks for your weight?

I have not noticed this on mine, but I will pay more attention. It could end up being something Toyota will need to address.

Just the drivers seat? Not sure if you mentioned to Toyota? Maybe the more they hear about it will eventually get us someplace.

Occurs both engaged and disengaged. I watched a few YouTube videos on it last night and I think this might be normal. It has shocks for left/right movement and up/down movement but not front to back. The chief engineer said it did have a mechanism for the seat to move back a little but not forward. I think it has some type of spring that allows it to move back a little but hits a hard stop when springing forward. My drivers side and passenger side both do the same thing. If you sit in the seat and lean back into the seat kinda hard you can feel it give a little and when it springs forward it hits the bump stop and you can feel and hear a little clunk. I want to pull that back cover off and investigate but Iā€™m chicken. I tried loosening one of the bolts holding the cover on but it didnā€™t loosen easily so I chickened out. šŸ˜‚

I have adjusted the pressure in the drivers seat but not the passenger.

Both seats do it. I think itā€™s normal. I think itā€™s just allowing a little movement backward but not forward. I was going to ask the dealer when I take it in for 5k service. The glass on the pressure gauges on mine is a little cloudy so they will need to address that as well.
