On the limited, how did they omit memory seats? Seams like such a miss given all the other features. I’m between a limited Tacoma and a mid trim Land Cruiser, but up in Canada I’m thinking 62-65k for the limited with the land cruiser likely into the 70s. Other than that, power telescoping steering wheel and maybe rain sensing wipers, there doesn’t seem to be any difference between the two. I wonder if memory seats would be a future year addition. Canyon Denali has it and I assume the ranger will too. We’re a single vehicle household, so both of us have to be on board.

It has it. It is tied to the user profile as we as key profile. Now ask how GM forgot to add Homelink to any of their trims for the Colorado/Canyon.

As far as I am concerned I priced a fully loaded build for the ZR2 with every option for 51.5K including shipping, 50K without. That’s far from $60K.
I am talking about every package and tech options I could find (convenience package, tech package, Bose speakers, etc.). This includes features the Tacoma does not have such as memory seats, and dual diff locker etc. Maybe I missed one option?

I am not talking about the $20K of accessories you can add like on every build and price for any truck.

So my comment still stands, even if I missed a $500 option it’s still far far out.
Maybe you refer to the GMC version? That’s a really poor deal because it costs much more than the Chevy for the exact same truck except 1 or 2 useless feature. It’s not like on the full size where you get a completely different interior by going GMC. The canyon is such a poor deal I would rather get the over priced Tacoma over an overpriced GMC.

The Ranger Lariat is actually cheaper than the limited, but I agree it’s clearly is a poor deal, considering you get a fully loaded Raptor for $6K more.

Isn't the Desert Boss similar to the Trail Hunter for 60k?

It has it. It is tied to the user profile as we as key profile. Now ask how GM forgot to add Homelink to any of their trims for the Colorado/Canyon.

Where has it been shown working with a driver/key profile?

I would think it would be explained in the manuals somewhere if it were included, but it is not.

Isn't the Desert Boss similar to the Trail Hunter for 60k?

Not at all similar. The desert boss is a ridiculous package that was only available for 2023 launch year with useless accessories at a high price. It’s discontinued for following years. If someone bought that packaged they got screwed, pretty much the same way Toyota is trying to screw us here with Taco price.

For 60K now you get the Bison, which has no competition really. Only mid size to get 35s from the factory and massive hydraulic bump stops. Also gets full body boron steel skid plates, and AEV steel front and rear bumper winch compatible and more (Trailhunter just gets rear steel bumper).
thanks for pointing the fact that for less money than a TRD pro you can get the bison, which is so capable even the Ranger Raptor can’t compete. However unless you need that much capability off road I think the ZR2 at 50K fully loaded is a better deal still.

Let’s see what the TH brings at what price. The just announced 1200lbs payload for the TRD offroad is a huge letdown.

Yes, agree you get more for your $ with non toyota truck, it has ALWAYS been that way.

I don't like to think of it as you get more for your money not buying Toyota, because I like to factor in shop time. The thousands of dollars I've spent over the years having Chevy's, Ford's, and even Mazda's in shops is almost sickening. I have yet to put any one of my Toyota's in a shop for repair, just oil changes for receipts. I like to think that the higher price tag reflects reliability. Toyota's never let me down, and as much as it sucks to dish out that extra couple grand, I know I'll be well taken care of when it comes to reliability.

That said, brand new generation, practically brand new truck, it's going to be new waters to test, only time will tell but I hope Toyota will carry on that legacy of reliability and any issues they had on the 23 Tundras they took into consideration when building these 4th gen Tacoma's.

Where are you seeing a Bison for 60k??

Search in my area (PNW) has cheapest bison at 82k

48k is insane! not even close to fully loaded... just the 14 inch screen, sway bar and heated seats! I'm cross shopping a Trail Boss Colorado with all tech and off-road upgrades and its not even cracking 42k. I think Toyota is getting extremely greedy with all of their pricing and it will hurt them in the long run.

I went to dealership yesterday. I agreed to MSRP in writing before heading over to drop off deposit. Walked in and it immediately changed to 5K ADM. Probably need to wait out this storm.

Most dealers are doing MSRP, they can't control what the built is from Toyota, but if you are not happy you can always get the next batch! I paid 500 deposit for MSRP no dealer add ons
45k their is lots of good options out there like the Colorado
Now with 100k power train warranty

Has Toyota not always had a price premium, even on the previous gen compared to the others? I thought I recall reading that. I'm not sure if it was as big of a gap as it is now though.
