SO I was banned from Tacoma World years ago because the owner (or mods?) said I wasn't an enthusiast but rather just on there to sell stuff... but I'm definitely a fan (I learned to drive on my dad's 1st gen which is still daily'd w/ over 700k miles!) and was just trying to engage with the thousands of customers I have on there. Nor does the owner of the forum want me to pay for sponsorship . I don't know...I'm just some guy on the west coast trying to bootstrap an electronics company. I considered secretly rejoining, but a ban is a ban, lol.

Anyways... I've always found it interesting how mysterious and how protective (hostile?) the ownership & moderation is. Do any of you guys use both boards? Or are we all here because we're banned from TacomaWorld? Asking because I still get fomo sometimes.

I found tacomaworld members and moderators argumentative and overtly insulting. TJ is downright bi-polar.

I find people on this forum to be much more mature and helpful. I wasn’t banned or anything, i just stopped enjoying the conversations and left.

I use both. I generally prefer Tacomaworld. Large user base, easy to get answers. Lots of eyeballs on topics.
