Hey everyone! Question for all of those who actually have the Bed Scene Lighting on their trucks… is it worth the $599? I do not want to do a rack anytime soon or else I would go aftermarket, so I am seriously thinking about going with the option on my Off Road. For those who have actual experience with this in their trucks or seen it in person, do you think it’s worth the cost for the value? Also, is it a separate button or just on when the standard bed lighting comes on? Any first hand experience and thoughts on it would be appreciated.

To me personally, nothing is what Toyota charges. That being said, I like the addition. It is a button on the lower left side near aux buttons. Mine comes on with the standard bed lighting. There may be other settings. You can drive with then on which would be helpful offroad.

Trailhunter comes standard with them. Worth $599, if yoy really like, want or need them. Nice around camp. I suppose they could be used offroad to light up the sides of the trail. Toggle switch lower left from steering wheel. On, Door and off are the three positions.

Worth the money? maybe but it came on mine and love it, spent lots of money to Meso for puddle lights and hours installing them so maybe worth the cost :)

Echoing the above, I love mine.

I probably would still have paid that, but there may be aftermarket ones that are brighter (these are still bright)

I really like the lighting. It came standard on my TH, and I've used it a few times just to light up the area we were all hanging out in.

As others mentioned, they come on when you open the doors, remote start, and there is a dedicated switch.

Has anyone been able to buy them after driving off the lot? I've been looking everywhere and cant even find a part number. My dealer said its only a port install option. Really need these lights.

It’s a lightweight add-on I’ll give it that. Only blue light so when at camp consider how bad the bugs are before running it for long periods. It’s actually tied into the main engine battery so it’ll shut off after a period of time: It’s really meant for walking around the truck ~4-6’ / setting up camp. Is it worth $600 + labor to install? Not if the aftermarket can do it better (amber /red swaps)

They were on my PRO as an option. If I had the option I would have probably have passed on them. Now that I have them, I'm happy they were on the truck. They are trick.

Right now, it's PIO. Like other accessories, it will become available in the future, but there's no word on when that will happen.

Agree with most others, especially B-52.....it came on my PRO and was one of the 2 options I could not have them remove at port. If I could I would have thiking I didn't need it - but now that I have it, it's great. For all the talk about camp site light up and all that, which is good....I like the other feature that it lights up all around your truck when you unlock the doors - which in a dimly lit parking lot or somewhere dark, it provides a bit of safety value as well.
