If you can believe the internet and in the video, "he thinks" there is a service bulletin
But a Google search gave me:
As of today, there is no official Toyota service bulletin specifically addressing the installation of catch cans on their vehicles; this means Toyota does not explicitly recommend or endorse the use of catch cans, and installing one may potentially void your warranty depending on the dealership interpretation and the specific engine issues you're trying to address.

Lots of pro's and con's all over for sure
I will report back of any issues as well as a photo of what the next 2K miles looks inside the can

Be interested to know if you notice an mpg improvement.

I run a catch can one on my Indian motorcycle and it is surprising the amount of moisture as well that ends up in the catch can. All of the oil and water vapor that would normally be recycled back into the intake can be removed is a plus from what I have seen. It makes sense that Toyota has seen problems with catch systems that have effectively reduced or stop ventilation and will not warranty them. They work extremely well when installed properly.

I have been a big believer of using a catch can on all my cars since my 2015 Rubicon - always am surprised at the amount of oil it keeps out of the throttle body and manifold - sometimes an inch or more between oil changes

Burger Motorsports has one for the '24. Nice quality, a tad expensive and a really simple install

Installed mine today, you weren’t kidding about quality, probably why it’s $180! I put a lot of miles on in the winter so should see some build up quickly?

Anybody that has taken the intake, or throttle body, off a 22RE, or 1FZ, understands the problem, and the fact that the catch can is the solution. I'm still trying to figure out a clean way to put one on my 3RZ.

I’ve been using catch cans for probably a decade now. When I came across this post I reached out to burger motor sports to see if it would work on my hybrid. They were unsure so I had them ship me one. I just received it and I can confirm that it works. The only thing that you would need are 2 longer 10 mm screws that connect the bracket onto the motor. The 2 - 10mm screws that we remove and re-use are too short. Hope this helps hybrid owners.

" I can confirm that it works. ".............so do you mean that it is actually collecting stuff, ie. oil and water, or that it's improving engine performance and getting better mpg. Define, 'it works' please.

The purpose of those separators is to catch the oil that would normally pass from the PCV into the manifold, gumming it up. It has nothing to do with performance or MPG. Just keeping the intake guts cleaner.

Anyone running these in subzero temps? I’ve been thinking about running one on my 24’ Trd off-road, but I live up in northern Minnesota where we can see -30 degree temps. Kinda worried about the freeze up issues on that catch can and causing problems with the pcv system.

New to the forum. But just wanted to say that I too am on the fence on whether or not the catch can is necessary given that the engine is port and direct injected. Is it really that needed?

Well, jury is out? If it catches goo it will benefit the entire intake and exhaust systems. In theory it will also keep pistons, and turbo cleaner, as well as burn fuel more efficiently. Noticeable MPG difference is unlikely but long term effects should be positive.
