I did originally think water was coming in through the tailgate side gaps. I made these seals out of 5/16” x 1” Black Vinyl Foam weatherstrip tape. Fits perfectly. Does not interfere with auto tailgate

What did you use to adhere the foam to the sides? I’ll keep this in mind if I have any significant leaks

It is self-adhesive.

thank you! Took a screenshot and added as a mental note for if it leaks. I forgot to check before I left the house this morning and it had down poured overnight. I should’ve looked into it.

OEM cover + bed mat + divider?

So I have read through this thread 3 times before posting my question.

Just installed the OEM cover with OEM Tacoma bed mat. Very happy so far and made my decision after reading this thread.

Looking to purchase and install the OEM bed divider next.

From this thread I understand the divider will have to be trimmed about 3/4 from each side, and there is about a 3/4 inch gap between the 'lowered' divider and the floor of the truck bed without a mat. (and given the mat is about 1/2 inch a 3/4 gap seems ok but close)

Before I pull the trigger looking for a definitive, has anyone installed the OEM cover, with the OEM mat, and the OEM bed divider (modified width) and does it fit? Any issues?

Thank you and glad to be a new member to this forum.

Same question
So I installed the OEM divider in my TRD Offroad today with OEM bed mat and OEM trifold cover.

The answer is yes it fits with about 1/8 in gap between the bottom of the divider and the mat. (at least in the middle of the bed where I placed mine).

Similar to what others have said I needed to cut 1/2 in off each end of the divider.

I also needed to cut 1/2 in off each of the two brackets so that the divider and welds fit between.

I found the aluminum to be soft and easily cut on my miter saw with fine tooth carbide tip blade. Left a clean cut. May paint the cut edges in the spring, but since it is aluminum not worried about rust just about appearance.

Very pleased with the outcome. Photos attached.

Regarding the cover/divider/bed mat sub-thread, thanks so much for the information. I just got the divider and discovered the need for trimming. I will do that soon. I don’t have a bed mat yet. That may be my next purchase.

These are all beautiful trucks. About 2,400 miles on my Sport and I love it more every day!

Hey guys just wanted to let everyone know that the OEM Trifold Hard Tonneau Cover PT954-35240 fits nicely on the 2024 Tacoma.

If your dealer says it’s not on the catalog and they’re not sure if it will fit on the 2024, I’m here to let you guys know it does. Same thing happened to me and the parts guy didn’t want to order it for me at first but I assured him that I would take full responsibility if it didn’t fit which I knew it would because of the post that was made here with the Hawaii region getting them in and installing them.

After I placed the order, I got it the next day as they had it in stock in the next state over. As of now they don’t have the instruction manual but it’s pretty straight forward and I used the 2022+ Tundra installation instructions for reference. It’s very similar to the Bakflip MX4 and wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same cover with Toyota branding. Hope this helps anyone!

Does it come with the bars to hold it up like the BAKFLIP?
