I agree, the rev hang isn’t bothersome to me anymore but at first it definitely felt noticeable. I slowed my shifts down and it fixed it. I’ve had cars in the past tuned to remove rev hang, and it allowed me to shift quick and smooth without issues. Looking to do the same on my manual Tacoma

Same here, definitely notice it less and less after 2,400 miles and some shifting habit changes. This is both my first brand new and turbocharged vehicle coming from 90's NA manuals - with one 2013 outlier, also NA and the last year of its run so older car design anyways - before most of this emissions crap that I assume causes the dreaded hang came about. I drove 6 hours to buy the truck without even test driving it (did drive an auto one at home) and drove it off the lot and was kind of thinking WTF at first haha. Definitely cannot wait to get the OTT tune though to be able to resume comfortably driving as big sky man intended; NOT the government/EPA way

I was able to get and exclusive look at the new OTT tune. @JustDSM invited me to check out the Dyno tuning process to show you guys how much power this new tune is going to make. Then, I give my driving impressions, and then do a 0-60 test compared to the stock tune. So far i'm loving it, the OTT crew did a great job with this tune.

It was great having you on-scene to sample some of what goes into development. As someone familiar with the previous platform and some of the various tuning options available, you have perspective on the new 4G platform that those coming to the Tacoma platform wouldn't share. I appreciate your willingness to work with us on early development and for sharing your thoughts and putting them into video format for others. Great video, too BTW!!

is there an eta on when it will be available?

We're shooting for March, 1st.

We have a software security loophole that we're working diligently to resolve, and once that's patched, we'll be ready for launch.
