Vermont winters are long and harsh, and my engine is a mess. I've always rinsed engines in former cars, but not sure about this one. Anyone washing their engine? Covering anything first? Hybrid wires/parts pose any issues?

I don't think it would be a problem. Just not a hot engine, and steer clear of the inverter area, and go low pressure where there are orange cables at the back of the engine. Otherwise it should be fine. No alternator to worry about at least. Have you looked into getting the ARK wheel well splash shields? Supposed to help, I hear
