I called my dealership yesterday (Feb. 10, '25) and the service advisor told me that there wouldn't be a fix until Q2 of 2025.
In the meantime, I've got a handful of trips planned to take the truck on trails here in Michigan, so if i lose a brake line from some ice, I'll just have it towed and cross my fingers they provide an adequate loaner lol
I think you’ll be fine. I’ve been in some nasty stuff and never had a problem at this point. I think it’s probably an extreme example

Yea really poor design from the start. I have a Coast to Coast and back run starting the first of August. Hope they get this squared away before then.

So long as that coast to coast trip isn’t in deep mud, you should be good. Recall specifically mention certain off-road conditions. Like I said, I’ve been in some sketchy places and in some mud and never had an issue.

Not mud and ice only, driving up and down gravel roads here the back of the rims on all vehicles build up with fine dust packs in like cement, and parkinsons on the steering wheel sets in, need to clean often

Toyota is recalling certain 2024 Tacoma 4-wheel drive trucks with 16-inch brakes and 17-inch wheels due to a brake hose issue. The recall affects vehicles in North and South America, as well as other regions.

What's the issue?

  • The rear brake hoses may need to be replaced because they could be defective

What will Toyota do?

  • Toyota dealers will replace the rear brake hoses at no cost to customers

How can I check if my vehicle is affected?

  • You can check if your vehicle is affected by:
    • Visiting Toyota.com/recall
    • Visiting nhtsa.gov/recalls and entering your vehicle's VIN or license plate information
    • Calling Toyota's customer support line at 1-800-331-4331

That's the reason the dealer won't give me my 2024 OffRoad.... I have to wait until April or June....

I have a manual Off-road, app said that there is a recall for it but the dealership told me that it's not applicable... I am guessing it's because they really haven't gotten any directions from Toyota.
