if it breaks Toyota can pay to have it fixed, I'm not paying for something that shouldn't break in the first place. thanks for the info though, I'm sure someone will do it

I ordered a set.. My closest dealership is 110 miles away and don’t want to have to deal with a know weak point in the middle of no where… Agreed Toyota needs to improve the design.

 agree with both of you. The fact that the aftermarket needs to come out with something like that so quickly to solve a problem on a brand new model is concerning. To that end, you'd think Toyota will fix the problem soon enough with a recall.

small price to pay for a peace of mind, for the frequent off roaders the pain in the ass it would be to have these break while on the trail and sit in a dealer lot for a month waiting for parts is well worth the $70

but yes it is only a temporary solution until toyota does and should address the underlying problem.

My peace of mind is my 10 year warranty. Hey, we all need something to sleep at night.

I got them because I'm about to add a Westcott lift. I can see Toyota blaming the lift on a failure. I don't really expect to have a problem, but it's worth $70 for them not to have an excuse and also possibly get stuck on the side of a mountain.

Instructions from icon said to torque the nuts back to factory spec. Does anyone know what those nuts should be torqued down to?

Found a diagram of the 3rg Gen Tundra that showed 33 ft/lb.

These should all be snug, but definitely not overtightened to avoid stripping the pressed bolt grooves (not so much the threads). Same is true for front spacer kits that have new top bolts like the Readylift kit.
