I noticed when I put things in the bed of the truck everything slides around with the composite bed. I'm used to having North American brands and using spray in bed liner, things seem to stay in place better. Has anyone attempted to spray opposed to using a rubber mat?

Factory sprayed. Love it. It doesn't stop things from sliding around but you have more texture and it's a lot more durable and scratch resistant.
I do add the OEM rubber mat when I really don't want anything to slide.

I also have a factory spayed bed liner. I like it a lot. Stuff still slides around but it doesn't scratch the bed. I plan on getting the Toyota rubber mat as I had it in my 2Gen but it doesn't fit in the new bed design.

I have the Toyota OEM bed mat. Its the best one out there. Nice and heavy and lays completely flat. Nothing slides around! Ordered it from Fred Anderson Toyota. $110 including shipping to the Midwest.

Fred Anderson is my go-to for OEM parts

I have both also. you at least need the mat so you can crawl around without destroying your knee caps

The bed mat is essential in an SMC truck bed because they are very slippery. I always get the Toyota mats because they are of very high quality and reasonably priced.

The spray in liner is a nice upgrade, but years of doing real truck jobs out of SMC beds tells me that any type of liner is really not needed.

I debated both when I got my truck for the same reason as you. Went with the bed mat and it works great. I’ve had spray liners in the past in my old F150. But the toyota bed was like teflon.

I’d recommend the mat.
